ProStrakan markets a range of products in a number of key EU territories and the US. Our business model allows for revenues arising from product sales to be invested into our development operations where new medicines can be produced for the benefit of more and more patients in the future.

As ProStrakan has grown and evolved over the years, we have acquired and merged with a number of companies which has led to us selling a range of products, providing help to many patients. However, some of these products sit outside our prime therapeutic focus and our strategy is to exploit such assets through partnerships.

Sancuso®

Sancuso is a prescription medicine used to prevent nausea and vomiting in people receiving some types of chemotherapy treatment. Sancuso is a skin patch that slowly releases the medicine contained in the adhesive, through skin areas into your bloodstream while you wear the patch.

Sancuso was developed by ProStrakan from a concept to a commercial product and is commercialised by ProStrakan in the US. It will also be commercialised by ProStrakan in the EU, since regulatory approval was granted in April 2012.

Abstral

Used in the management of breakthrough pain in adult patients using opioid therapy for chronic cancer pain. Breakthrough pain is a transient exacerbation of otherwise controlled chronic background pain.

Adcal-D3

Marketed in the UK only.

Prostrakan has a range of calcium and calcium with vitamin D products within the Adcal (calcium carbonate) and Adcal-D3 (calcium carbonate and colecalciferol) brands. These products are prescribed for patients who get so little calcium and/or vitamin D in their diet it affects their health and for those patients receiving specific therapy for osteoporosis.
